4.95

一、深山絕跡，去遠人民，但資甘果美水，一菜一果而已。或餌松柏以續精氣，如雪山甘香藕等。食已，繫心思惟坐禪，更無餘事。如是食者上士也。

First, deep in the mountains where all human tracks are cut off, far away from people, one relies solely on sweet fruits and pure water, a single herb or a single fruit. Or one consumes pine needles and cypress to sustain essential qi, like the sweet, fragrant lotus roots of the Snow Mountains. Having eaten, one focuses the mind, reflects, and sits in meditation, with no other concerns. Those who eat thus are superior persons.
