If all phenomena are produced by causes and conditions, this is the expedient in accordance with sentiments, the provisional wisdom of the knowledge of the paths. If all phenomena are the one phenomenon, which I declare to be emptiness, this is in accordance with wisdom, the knowledge of all phenomena. If it is neither one nor all, which is also called the meaning of the middle way, this is neither provisional nor real, the knowledge of all modes. Following the above: one provisional is all provisional, one real is all real, all are neither provisional nor real; traversing all phenomena without exception, these are the inconceivable three wisdoms. In accordance with sentiments is speaking in accordance with the minds of others; in accordance with wisdom is speaking in accordance with one's own mind; neither provisional nor real is speaking in accordance with neither one's own nor others' minds. Traversing all phenomena without exception, there is none that is not the gradual, sudden, or indeterminate inconceivable Dharma gates of teaching. If one understands the sudden, one understands the mind. When the mind cannot even be found, how could there be an inclination or non-inclination? If one understands the gradual, one understands all phenomena inclining toward the mind. If one understands the indeterminate, one understands that this inclination goes no further. These names differ but their meaning is the same: the guiding practitioner calls them the three dharmas, what is illuminated is the three truths, what is generated is the three contemplations, when contemplation is perfected they are the three wisdoms, teaching others calls them the three modes of speech, and returning to the source calls them the three inclinations. Grasping this kind of intent, everything becomes a Dharma gate. With these various flavors, do not find it burdensome (and so on).
