彼人若言：「止狀沈寂，非我悅樂。」當為說觀，推尋道理。七覺中有擇覺分，八正中有正見，六度中有般若，於法門中為主、為導，乃至成佛。正覺、大覺、遍覺，皆是觀慧異名，當知觀慧最為尊妙。如是廣讚，是為「隨樂欲以觀安心」。

If that person says, “The state of calming is sinking and quiescent; it is not my delight,” one should explain contemplation to him, deducing and investigating principles. “Among the seven factors of awakening there is the factor of investigating phenomena; among the eightfold noble path there is right view; among the six perfections there is prajñā. Within Dharma gates, it serves as master and guide, up to the attainment of Buddhahood. Correct awakening, great awakening, and universal awakening are all different names for contemplative wisdom; you should know that contemplative wisdom is the most revered and wondrous.” Extensively praising it like this is “calming the mind by contemplating in accordance with inclination.”
