"Non-arising arising": "Dwelling securely in worldly truth, when first emerging from the womb, is called 'non-arising arising.'" It is now explained: as for "worldly truth," avidyā together with dharmatā produces all things, distinguished in gradation; therefore it is called "worldly truth." "Dwelling securely" means settling in worldly truth through calming and contemplation, which is precisely the inconceivable realm; when the stage of contemplative practice is accomplished, it is called "dwelling securely." Because of dwelling securely, it is called "entrusting to the noble womb." When the Buddha's knowledge and vision are first opened and the endurance of non-arising is attained, it is called "emerging from the noble womb." Not seeing avidyā and worldly truth is called "non-arising." Attaining the Buddha's knowledge and the Buddha's vision is called "arising." The Treatise [Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa] says: "All dharmas do not arise, yet prajñā arises." This is its meaning. This speaks of the stage of the endurance of non-arising in one's own practice, in which the meaning of the cause is accomplished.
