5.227

若一念心起即具三假，三假如前說。當觀此一念為從心自生心？為對塵生心？為根塵共生心？為根塵離生心？

If a single thought-moment arises, it fully possesses the three provisionalities, the three provisionalities being as explained previously. One should contemplate whether this single thought-moment arises from the mind itself generating mind, or arises from facing an object generating mind, or arises from the faculty and object jointly generating mind, or arises apart from both faculty and object generating mind.
