次、明知思病本、知思起因緣、知思起久近、知思病重數。三意例見病可知，思假以癡為本云云。

Next, explaining knowing the roots of the sickness of thoughts, knowing the causes and conditions for the arising of thoughts, knowing the duration of the arising of thoughts, and knowing the number of layers of the sickness of thoughts. The three considerations are to be known by analogy with the sickness of views; the provisionality of thoughts takes ignorance as its root, and so forth.
