6.15

三禪亦有事、性兩障。若破性障，捨俱起時，亦備愛、慢、癡，亦有九品。三假不動，法對意根，即因成等。若不觀察，隨禪受生。今用止觀，方便勝進，無礙解脫，成事理無生。若未去者，更觀相續、相待，亦如是。餘八品及癡、慢等，亦如是。

The third dhyāna also has both obstacles regarding phenomena and obstacles regarding nature. If one destroys obstacles regarding nature, when equanimity arises concurrently, it is also fully equipped with attachment, arrogance, and ignorance, and also has nine grades. The three provisionalities do not shift: the dharma facing the mental faculty is conditioned arising, and so forth. If one does not contemplate, one undergoes rebirth in accordance with dhyāna. Now, using calming and contemplation, through expedients and superior progress, non-obstruction and liberation, one accomplishes the non-arising of phenomena and principle. If they are not yet removed, further contemplating continuity and relativity is also like this. The remaining eight grades, as well as ignorance, arrogance, and so forth, are also like this.
