二、明業相發者：發無前後，且逐語便。先明善發，其相有六：一、報果相現，二、習因相現，三、報前現習後現，四、習前現報後現，五、習報俱時現，六、前後不定。諸業現時，參差萬品，識此六意，分別無謬。

Second, clarifying the manifestation of the marks of karma: their manifestation has no fixed order of before and after; we will proceed according to convenience of exposition. First we clarify the manifestation of the good, of which there are six marks: first, the mark of the fruitional retribution appears; second, the mark of the habitual cause appears; third, retribution appears first and habit appears later; fourth, habit appears first and retribution appears later; fifth, habit and retribution appear simultaneously; sixth, before and after are indeterminate. When the various karmas appear, they are varied in ten thousand sorts; if one recognizes these six meanings, one can discern them without error.
