8.158

若約真諦為言者，上諸善惡悉皆是障。故《淨業障經》云：「一切惡障，一切善障」。若約假為語，真諦善惡，俱皆是障。若約中為語，假上善惡，俱皆是障，故障不可盡。

If spoken with respect to the ultimate truth, all the above wholesome and unwholesome are obstacles. Therefore the Jing yezhang jing says: 'All unwholesome is an obstacle, and all wholesome is an obstacle.' If spoken with respect to the provisional, both wholesome and unwholesome of the ultimate truth are obstacles. If spoken with respect to the middle, both wholesome and unwholesome upon the provisional are obstacles; therefore obstacles can never be exhausted.
