若小乘伏道，遍名為「聞慧」；乃至圓教五品，是聞慧位。此尚未成，豈可濫真起增上慢？
In the path of subduing of the Hīnayāna, this is everywhere termed 'wisdom through hearing'; up to the five ranks of the perfect teaching, this is the stage of wisdom through hearing. Since even this is not yet accomplished, how could one falsely claim truth and give rise to overweening pride?
