In explaining cures in the Mahāyāna, they are neither direct nor combined, etc.; it is called the 'cure of supreme truth'. It is like the agada medicine that can cure myriad diseases. The Hīnayāna mostly uses the three siddhāntas as cures; the Mahāyāna mostly uses the supreme truth siddhānta as cure. Within emptiness and non-arising, what is defilement? What is that which cures? When defilement does not even exist, what thing could be transferred? Since there is nothing to transfer, it is also neither combined nor complete; it simply uses the single prescription of non-arising to cure everything universally. This is extremely brief; one must grasp the meaning well.
