8.57

第四四句者：諸法非生非不生、般若非生非不生；諸法非生非不生、般若生；諸法非生非不生、般若不生；諸法非生非不生、般若亦生亦不生。初謂中境發中智，二謂中境發俗智，三謂中境發真智，四謂中境雙發二智。已說十六句竟。

The fourth four propositions are: all dharmas neither arise nor do not arise, prajñā neither arises nor does not arise; all dharmas neither arise nor do not arise, prajñā arises; all dharmas neither arise nor do not arise, prajñā does not arise; all dharmas neither arise nor do not arise, prajñā both arises and does not arise. The first refers to the middle realm giving rise to middle knowledge; the second refers to the middle realm giving rise to conventional knowledge; the third refers to the middle realm giving rise to true knowledge; the fourth refers to the middle realm jointly giving rise to two knowledges. The sixteen propositions have already been explained.
