二、明病起因緣有六：一、四大不順故病，二、飲食不節故病，三、坐禪不調故病，四、鬼神得便、五、魔所為，六、業起故病。

Second, clarifying the causes and conditions of the arising of illness: there are six. First, illness due to disharmony of the four great elements; second, illness due to lack of moderation in food and drink; third, illness due to maladjustment in seated meditation; fourth, ghosts and spirits seizing an opportunity; fifth, deeds of māras; sixth, illness arising due to karma.
