善巧安心者：巧觀十界識等七支即是法性，不起無明、愛、取八倒迷惑，名為「觀」；十法界行、有等種種顛倒息，故名為「止」（云云）。

Regarding skillfully pacifying the mind: skillfully contemplating that the seven branches of consciousness and the rest across the ten realms are themselves dharmatā, without giving rise to the delusion of the eight inversions of ignorance, craving, and grasping, is called "contemplation"; the cessation of the various inversions such as karmic formations and existence across the ten dharmadhātus is called "calming," and so forth.
