Contemplate the marks of sentient beings as like the marks of the Buddhas; the measure of the realm of sentient beings is like the measure of the realm of the Buddhas. The measure of the realm of the Buddhas is inconceivable, and the measure of the realm of sentient beings is also inconceivable. The dwelling of the realm of sentient beings is like the dwelling of empty space; by means of non-abiding phenomena and markless phenomena, dwell in prajñā. Not seeing ordinary phenomena, how could one abandon them? Not seeing noble phenomena, how could one grasp them? Birth-and-death and nirvāṇa, defilement and purity, are likewise neither abandoned nor grasped; one merely abides in the limit of reality (bhūtakoṭi). Contemplating sentient beings like this is the true Buddha-dharmadhātu.
