Furthermore, because the practitioner cultivates calming and contemplation, if body and mind become clear and pure, there may manifest the marks of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, non-self, impurity, the world as revulsive, the impurity of food, and the thought of death, separation, and termination; mindfulness of the Buddha, Dharma, Saṅgha, precepts, giving, and gods; the foundations of mindfulness, right efforts, bases of psychic power, faculties, powers, factors of awakening, and limbs of the path; emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness; the six perfections and various pāramitās; supernormal transformations, and so forth. The signs of the manifestation of all approaches to the Dharma should be analyzed in detail within this. Therefore a sūtra says: 'Curbr the mind in one place, and there is no affair that cannot be accomplished.'
