行者善尋名故，自知其體。若欲進修，必因門而入。今略明禪門，即為三意：第一、標禪門；第二、解釋；三、料簡。

Because practitioners investigate the names well, they naturally understand their essence. If they wish to advance in cultivation, they must enter through a gate. Now, briefly clarifying the gates of dhyāna involves three points: first, indicating the dhyāna gates; second, explaining them; third, discriminating analysis.
