二、次明修天耳通。行者既見色已，若欲聞其聲，當於禪定中諦取障外可聞細聲，一心聽之，願欲得聞。若心明利，發得四大造清淨色耳根，即聞障外、障內一切六道音聲，苦樂憂喜，言辭不同，是名天耳通。

Second, next is explaining the cultivation of the supernormal knowledge of the divine ear. After the practitioner has seen forms, if they wish to hear their sounds, they should in dhyāna absorption deeply grasp subtle sounds outside barriers that can be heard, listen to them single-mindedly, and vow and desire to hear them. If the mind is sharp and bright, generating an auditory faculty of pure form made of the four great elements, they immediately hear all the sounds of the six destinies outside and inside barriers—suffering, joy, sorrow, and delight, with their different words and expressions. This is called the supernormal knowledge of the divine ear.
