Restlessness of the body means the body is fond of wandering about and engaging in various frivolous amusements, unable to stay at peace even for a moment while sitting. Restlessness of speech means fondness for chanting and reciting, disputing right and wrong, useless talk, and worldly conversation. Restlessness of mind means the state of mind is dissolute, letting one's thoughts run wild after sensory objects, pondering literature and arts, worldly skills, and various unwholesome vitarka and vicāra; this is called restlessness of mind.
