三、疑法者，世人多執本心，於所受之法不能即信，故不敬心受行。若心生猶豫，即法不染神。何以故？如訶疑偈中說：
Third, doubt regarding the teaching: people of the world mostly cling to their own preconceptions and cannot immediately place faith in the teachings they receive, and thus they do not receive and practice them with a respectful mind. If the mind gives rise to hesitation, the Dharma will not permeate the spirit. Why is this? As spoken in the verse rebuking doubt:
