第二、明懺悔方法，即為三意：一、正明懺悔法不同；二、明罪滅階降；三、明復不復相。

Second, explaining the methods of repentance comprises three points: first, directly explaining the differences among the methods of repentance; second, explaining the stages and degrees in the elimination of guilt; third, explaining the marks of whether one is restored [to one's original state] or not restored.
