四、明闇：明者，觸發之時，見外種種光色，乃至日月星辰青、黃、赤、白種種光明。闇者，觸發之時，身心闇瞑，如入暗室。

Fourth, brightness and darkness: regarding brightness, when the sensation arises, one sees various external lights and colors, up to various lights of the sun, moon, stars, blue, yellow, red, and white. Regarding darkness, when the sensation arises, body and mind become dark and dim, like entering a pitch-black room.
