3.111

復次，二十邪法隨有所發，若不別邪偽，心生愛著者，因或失心狂逸，或歌或哭，或笑或啼，或時驚狂漫走，或時得病，或時致死，或時自欲投巖赴火，自絞自害，如是障惱非一。

Furthermore, whichever of the twenty corrupt phenomena arises, if one fails to discern the corrupt and false and conceives attachment in one's mind, one may lose one's mind and become wildly insane, singing or weeping, laughing or crying; or sometimes flee in panic, sometimes fall ill, sometimes die, or sometimes wish to throw oneself off cliffs or into fires, strangle oneself, or harm oneself. Such hindrances and afflictions are not just of one kind.
