答曰：不然。前為驗知故說，今為對治故說。前為約善根自發故說，今為修習故說，此非煩重。

Answer: It is not so. Earlier, it was spoken for the sake of verification and recognition; now it is spoken for the sake of counteractive treatment. Earlier, it was spoken in terms of the spontaneous arising of good roots; now it is spoken for the sake of cultivation and practice. This is not cumbersome or repetitious.
