第五、明進退者，證初禪時，有四種人根性不同：一者、退分；二者、住分；三者、進分；四者、達分。

Fifth, explaining progression and retrogression: when realizing the first dhyāna, there are four kinds of people whose faculties and dispositions differ: first, the retrogression category; second, the stability category; third, the progression category; fourth, the penetration category.
