第三、明二禪發相，亦開為六意：一者、明禪發；二、明支義；三、明因果體用；四、明淺深；五、明進退；六、明功德。

Third, explaining the signs of the manifestation of the second dhyāna, which is also divided into six aspects: first, explaining the manifestation of the dhyāna; second, explaining the meaning of the factors; third, explaining cause and effect, essence and function; fourth, explaining shallowness and depth; fifth, explaining progress and regress; sixth, explaining the merits.
