8.73

今釋第一、事世諦相者，上根行人福德智慧利故，證初禪時，有二因緣得五神通：一者、自發；二者、修得。

Now, explaining the first—the characteristics of conventional truth regarding phenomena: Because practitioners of superior faculties have sharp merit and wisdom, when they realize the first dhyāna, there are two causes and conditions by which they obtain the five supernormal knowledges: first, spontaneous arising; second, acquisition through cultivation.
