Fifth, the notion of the impermissibility of delight in all worlds: If the practitioner thinks upon mundane sensual desires, fine flavors, family members, relatives, clothing and adornments, parks and sights, territories, human affairs, and the like, they give rise to the notion of pleasure, evil vitarka will not cease, and it obstructs the path of detachment from desire. The practitioner should, with a deep mind, carefully contemplate the marks of the faults and perils of the world. Faults and perils are of two kinds: first, sentient beings; second, the physical realm.
