Third, regarding the manifestation of the delusion of reckoning cosmic nature: Also when cultivating concentration, one suddenly thinks: 'Because there are atoms, therefore there are real dharmas; because there are real dharmas, then there are the four great elements; because there are the four great elements, there are nominal sentient beings and various worlds.' Reflecting in this way, a mind of views arises, not resting for a thought-moment. Relying on this sharp intellect and eloquence, one is able to question and able to explain, arrogantly exalting oneself, disputing right and wrong, and exclusively practicing corrupt deeds, estranged from the true path; even reflecting on and discriminating the momentary mind of a single kṣaṇa is also like this. Due to these causes and conditions, one cannot manifest various dhyāna-concentrations; even if dhyāna-concentration manifests, one falls into the assemblage of wrong concentrations. This is the mark of the manifestation of the delusion of reckoning cosmic nature.
