Now, within the manifestation of unwholesome dharmas, we also distinguish them based on the five unwholesome dharmas. Within each unwholesome dharma, there are three types each; three times five makes fifteen unwholesome dharmas. If we discuss when a practitioner manifests unwholesome dharmas, there is actually no fixed sequence. Now, according to the teaching gate, we distinguish them in order, completely as listed before. First, clarifying the marks of the manifestation of vitarka and vicāra, there are three kinds: first, vitarka and vicāra in a clear and sharp mind; second, vitarka and vicāra in a half-clear and half-dim mind; third, vitarka and vicāra in an entirely dim and bewildered mind.
