5.31

"The Buddha proclaimed the nectar gate, / which is named ānāpāna; / among all Dharma gates, / it is the foremost path of peace and security. / Conditioned factors arise sequentially, / not mixed with false thoughts, / just as when planting a pomegranate, / sprouts and stems emerge in succession. / Flowers, fruits, colors, and tastes / naturally come forth and cannot be contrived; / when the time arrives, it naturally realizes them, / unlike the color of powder and rouge. / If you cultivate and ripen the soil, / I will bestow upon you the pomegranate seeds, / causing your minds to enter the nectar, / and the path factors will arise in succession."
