Regarding 'knowing for himself that this body does not receive the three feelings': In conditioning the four propositions of form, although the station of space departs from the first proposition, it still receives the latter three propositions. Now, in the station of consciousness, by taking consciousness as condition to enter concentration, one completely departs from the four propositions of the form realm, and all four feelings belong entirely to consciousness; hence it is said that he knows for himself this body does not receive the three feelings. It can also be said that he does not receive the three feelings of pain, pleasure, and [neutrality]. Having already departed from these three kinds of feelings is called the characteristic of the absorption of the station of consciousness.
