1.72

復次，行者或於數息之時，身心寂然，不得諸法，妄垢不生，分別不起，心想寂然，明識法相，無所依倚，當知於數息中，證淨門禪也。

Furthermore, when a practitioner is counting breaths, if body and mind are serene, finding no phenomena, defilements of delusion do not arise, distinctions do not stir, mental notions are serene, clearly recognizing the characteristics of phenomena without anything to rely upon, one should know that while counting breaths, he realizes the dhyāna of the gate of purification.
