一、眼識界。眼根若對色塵，即生眼識。眼識生時，即識色塵，故名眼識界也。

First, the eye-consciousness dhātu. When the eye faculty faces the form object, the eye-consciousness immediately arises. When the eye-consciousness arises, it immediately cognizes the form object; hence it is named the eye-consciousness dhātu.
