八、人。於名、色、陰、入、界等法中，妄計我是行人，異於非行之人，故名為人。亦計我生人道，異於餘道，故名為人。

Eighth is the person (manuṣya / pudgala). Regarding dharmas such as nāmarūpa, the skandhas, āyatanas, and dhātus, one falsely imputes, 'I am a practitioner, different from non-practicing people'; therefore it is named person. It is also the imputation, 'I am born into the human destiny, different from other destinies'; therefore it is named person.
