一、內淨支。心無觀覺之渾濁，故名內淨。行者欲離初禪時，種種訶責覺觀。覺觀既滅，則心內靜，心與靜色法相應，豁爾明淨，故名內淨支也。

First, the factor of internal purity. The mind being free from the turbidity of sustained and initial application is named internal purity. When the practitioner wishes to depart from the first dhyāna, they reproach initial and sustained application in various ways. Once initial and sustained application have ceased, the mind is internally quiet; when the mind corresponds with the peaceful material dharmas, it is wide open, clear, and pure; therefore it is named the factor of internal purity.
