四、樂支。怡悅之心名之為樂。行者發三禪樂已，若能善用捨念慧將護此樂，樂既無過，則增長遍身怡悅受樂安，快三禪之樂。三禪為最樂，若離三禪，餘地更無遍身之樂也。

Fourth is the factor of joy. A heart of delightful pleasure is called 'joy'. After the practitioner has brought forth the joy of the third dhyāna, if they are able to skillfully employ equanimity, mindfulness, and discernment to nurture and protect this joy, then the joy, being without fault, increases and suffuses the entire body with delightful pleasure and secure ease—the delight of the joy of the third dhyāna. The third dhyāna is supreme in joy; beyond the third dhyāna, no other plane possesses joy that pervades the whole body.
