十五、觀滅。修特勝者，離識處、入無所有時，以智照了所修之境、能修之心，是故若發無所有處定，即自觀達無所有處虛誑不實，心不住著，故云觀滅。若對念處，猶屬法念處觀。

15. Contemplating cessation. When one who cultivates the superior stages leaves the base of boundless consciousness and enters the base of nothingness, one illuminates with wisdom the object cultivated and the cultivating mind; therefore, when the concentration of the base of nothingness arises, one naturally contemplates and comprehends that the base of nothingness is illusory and unreal, and the mind does not abide or attach; hence it is called 'contemplating cessation.' Correlated with the bases of mindfulness, it still belongs to the contemplation of mindfulness of phenomena.
