四、味入。一切對舌，所知之色曰味。味有二種味，攝一切味：一、正報色處味，眾生身中之六味也；二、依報色處味，外一切無知色中所有六味也。

Fourth, the taste āyatana. All gustatory form that faces the tongue is called taste. There are two kinds of taste that encompass all tastes: first, taste at the locus of the form of primary retribution, which is the six tastes in the bodies of sentient beings; second, taste at the locus of the form of environmental retribution, which is all the six tastes found in external insentient form.
