二、知根。信解見得人，思惟道中，是九根轉名知根。九根如未知欲知根中分別。

Second is the faculty of knowing (ājñendriya). For those who are liberated through faith and those who attain through vision, on the path of cultivation (the path of reflection), these nine faculties change their name to 'the faculty of knowing.' The nine faculties are differentiated as in [the section on] the faculty of coming to know what is not yet known.
