The reason why the ten powers are explained following the four unhindered knowledges is that what was clarified above mostly consisted of the dharmas for self-cultivation and converting others attained by bodhisattvas. Now, wishing to clarify the dharma gates for self-cultivation and converting others attained by all buddhas, the ten powers, unshared attributes, and other dharmas are clarified next. That these ten are all termed 'powers' is because they are the function of the knowledge in accordance with reality attained by all buddhas: penetrating all things, distinctly clear, indestructible, and unconquerable; hence, they are called 'powers'. Great bodhisattvas also attain a share of this intellectual power, but being slightly inferior compared to the Buddha, their attainments are subsumed and do not receive the name.
