次四無所畏而辯十八不共法者，諸佛十力之智內充，無畏之德外顯，故所有一切功德智慧超過物表，不與世共。欲簡異一切凡聖所得，是以次而明之。此十八通名不共者，極地之法，不與凡夫、二乘及諸菩薩共有，故云不共也。

The reason why the eighteen unshared attributes are explained following the four fearlessnesses is that the wisdom of the ten powers fills all buddhas within and the virtues of fearlessness are manifested without; therefore, all their merits and wisdom surpass worldly phenomena and are not shared with the world. Wishing to distinguish them from what is attained by ordinary persons and noble ones, they are clarified next. That these eighteen are all termed 'unshared' is because they are dharmas of the ultimate stage, not shared in common with ordinary persons, the two vehicles, and the bodhisattvas; hence, they are called 'unshared'.
