Second is the poison of anger. The mind of hostility and wrath is called anger. If with a deluded mind one faces all disagreeable realms and immediately gives rise to wrath, that is precisely the poison of anger. Tracking them under the five stages of the desire realm, there are five anger anuśayas, all of which are the poison of anger; according to the Sarvāstivādins, the upper two realms have no anger.
