Eighth, the liberation of the cessation of perception and feeling. Turning away from and annihilating all minds and mental factors of perception and feeling is the liberation of the cessation of perception and feeling. Why? The disciples of the Buddhas loathe and are weary of the distracted mind, and wishing to enter concentration and rest, they settle and abide in the Dharma of nirvāṇa within the body; hence it is said that feeling and perception cease through bodily realization.
