Fourth, explaining the sequential stage of those attained through views: when a follower through the Dharma changes and enters the path of cultivation, they are called 'attained through views'. This sharp-rooted person is perfumed by their own wisdom, sees dharmas and attains principle; hence they are called 'attained through views'. This person attained through views, in the path of thinking, sequentially realizes the three fruits or leaps over to attain the two fruits, just as distinguished under those liberated through faith. The only difference is that due to sharp roots, they do not rely on hearing the Dharma, do not depend on the assembling of multiple conditions, and can see dharmas and attain principle on their own. Those attained through views, being of sharp roots, are exclusively of unshakeable rooted nature; if realizing the fruit of non-returner, they also have the differences of the five kinds of parinirvāṇa, as well as the seven kinds and eight kinds.
