七、對治助開，謂若正道多障，圓理不開，須修事助，謂五停心及六度等。經云：「又多僕從（此下為下根）。」

Seventh is auxiliary opening through antidotes: namely, if the main path encounters many hindrances and the consummate principle does not open, one must cultivate phenomenal aids, namely the five methods of stilling the mind, the six perfections, and so forth. The sutra says: "And many attendants." (From this point down is for those of lower faculties.)
