Having paid homage, burn incense, scatter flowers, and speak these words: "May this entire assembly each kneel on both knees, reverently hold incense and flowers, and make offerings in accordance with the Dharma, offering them to the Three Jewels of the Dharma realm of the ten directions." Having completed the visualization, speak sincere words aloud:

Revered Dharmas, all bodhisattvas,
And the boundless assembly of śrāvakas,
Arising as a dais of light,
Surpassing boundless realms;
Within boundless Buddha lands,
To be enjoyed and perform Buddha-deeds,
Everywhere perfuming all living beings,
Causing all to bring forth the bodhi mind.
When the offering is finished, face the west, sit in the cross-legged posture, and focus the mind on counting the breaths, keeping the mind from scattering and not counting rapid or panting breaths. For the sake of living beings, continue for the span of ten breaths; having completed the ten breaths, next contemplate the Buddhas of the ten directions and the seven Buddhas, the World-Honoured Ones, whose physical form of true reality, their wondrous body, is just like empty space. One should also compassionately contemplate all living beings. Making this contemplation is like a single round of dhyāna; having sustained the contemplation for a long time, gently and slowly emerge. One person tends the incense and coals, and each kneels on both knees to make the invocations:
