王在京。重遣弟子總持和南。適逮近旨用尉馳情，春暄願道體康勝。玉泉創立道場嚴整，禪眾歸集靜慧日新，隨喜之深難以辭諭。弟子始服三石散竟，調息勞心秋仲歸蕃。請夏訖沿下在於拜覲，差當匪奢其間珍德。今遣統軍魯子譽往祇承。謹和南。

The Prince in the capital. Sent again. Your disciple Zongchi bows in veneration. Having just received your recent instructions, my anxious longings are comforted. In the warmth of spring, may your health be strong and flourishing. The bodhimaṇḍa established at Yuquan is solemn and orderly; the dhyāna assembly gathers, and tranquil wisdom grows newer day by day. My profound rejoicing can hardly be expressed in words. Your disciple has just finished taking the Three Stones Powder, and after soothing my wearied mind, I will return to my fief in mid-autumn. I request that upon concluding the summer you travel downstream so that I may pay my respects; this should not be too demanding. In the meantime, please take precious care of your virtue. I am now dispatching Military Commander Lu Ziyu to attend upon you. Respectfully bowing in veneration.
