問：內、外不二門，標列牒釋二種境觀，文義顯然，何得但對《義例》淨心外歷及《止觀》例餘陰入國土方等歷旛壇等耶？

Question: In the Gate of the Non-duality of Internal and External, the two kinds of objects and contemplations are designated, enumerated, taken up, and explained, and the meaning of the text is obvious; how can you merely compare it to the pure mind passing on to external [objects] in Yili, and to the [Mohe] zhiguan's extending to the remaining skandhas, āyatanas, lands, or the vaipulya [repentance's] passing on to banners, altars, and so forth?
