問：夫論法門須求其意，不可以名相多少為論。〈釋名〉等四章，三觀名相雖多，意謂生於止觀之解釋；法無眾生名相雖少，意成中道生空之觀。得意之師依章善消，豈不成乎解行耶？

Question: In discussing doctrinal teachings, one must seek their intent; one cannot argue on the basis of whether nominal terms are many or few. In the four chapters such as 'Explaining the Names', although the nominal terms of the three contemplations are many, their intent lies in explanations that arise from śamatha-vipaśyanā. In 'Phenomena are Void of Sentient Beings', although the nominal terms are few, their intent fulfills the contemplation of the emptiness of sentient beings in the Middle Way. When a master who grasps the intent skillfully resolves them according to the chapters, how could this fail to accomplish both understanding and practice?
